On keeping books in use

Maybe a less exciting book than some of my recent purchases, but worth mentioning because it is pre-loved (or maybe because it originated in a university library, pre-loathed?)

My thesis tutor recommended this book as a reference for management research methodologies. All very thrilling, I know, but this should help me stick to a "traditional" approach (which is encouraged), rather than making it up as I go along (discouraged, funnily enough).

One of the principles of a circular economy is to keep materials and products in use*, and by buying pre-loved books we do just that. Yes, I could have bought a newer edition for ten times as much, but the practices they describe remain mostly the same over the years.

So next time you have an academic text to buy - or hell, any kind of book - please check out your local used bookshop or a good online bookshop. And if you have a good library please support them as well.
