Like NaNoWriMo, but for Blogging

The plan to get my writing groove back

I took the month of October off from writing. It wasn’t intentional, but I had some academic milestones and it sort of just happened. Early on, I realised that whilst I probably can split my focus in multiple directions, I probably shouldn’t.

The academic work couldn’t really afford to fall behind, but with the writing, I could risk putting out stuff I wasn’t happy with, or that wasn’t ready.

Which is great but it’s left me with a deficit story-wise. I’ve not published anything since the 23rd of September.

My plan to publish weekly has gone out of the window. I’m okay with that, but I need to do something to get me writing again. So I’m turning that whole “quality over quantity” thing on its head.

Taking inspiration from NaNoWriMo, I plan to write a blog post or article every day in November. I aim to get back into the habit of writing every day, focussing for now on quantity. I’ll allow myself a little creative divergence as well. I don’t know that I could write 30 articles about sustainability in quick succession so I’m going to write about whatever topics interest me at the time. They’ll be shorter, naturally, but I’m hoping that publishing them here will give me a bit of accountability.
