Taking this opportunity to promote the Sustainability Calendar: every month I summarise what's coming up, with links to where people can find more information, to enable people:

a) to plan their climate action, and

b) not miss the things that are important to them.

The calendar for November can be viewed here:

https://medium.com/sustainability-calendar/sustainability-calendar-whats-happening-in-november-2021-8d1eb2ddd7fb

The way I view these days (and yes there are a lot of them) is that they are an opportunity for us all to think of aspects of sustainability that might not normally occur to us.

They also enable us to ensure that these aspects don't get overlooked for the bigger headline or more palatable events and observances. Vegan initiatives (November 1st) naturally get more headline space than, say, International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict (November 6th), but both are equally important.

And really, we should all agree that they're not nearly as frivolous as some of the days out there :-) On that note, happy National Vanilla Cupcake Day!
