Thanks Sarah for a great read. It's clear that where a lot of these naysayers come from is a fear of change and (more often) a reluctance to let go of the conveniences of their current life.

Convincing these people that the change is worth it is going to be one of the main battles in coming years. Yes, at times these changes are going to make things harder, or more time consuming, or more expensive, but waiting for the changes to be forced on them will be much worse.

As you say, no solution is perfect, but point me to any existing system that IS perfect. At the end of the day, it's just excuses.
